examples of my work

Every creative collaboration starts with the most important thing:
getting to know you and your brand.
I cultivate strong partnerships with like-minded collection-builders who are looking to authentically tell the story of their brand. This means that I'm not only interested in what my clients have to offer, but take the time to truly understand the ins and outs of your business. This holistic approach results in building strong textile designs that stand out and elevate your next collection.

If you have a certain print direction in mind for your collection I'm happy to work on your brief:
> allover-prints
(can create florals, geo's, abstracts, minimal, ethnic, bohemian, stripes, checks etc) for digital or screen printing
> placement artwork
(for graphic tees/sweats, logo artwork etc)
> embroidery and embellishment design

I'm happy to help you with:
> creating custom repeats from existing artwork
> color seperation or preparing files for technical production
> giving advice on print techniques
> prepare moodboards or trend reports for your next collection
> creating a print collection for custom product line

About me
Hello and nice to meet you!
I am Tessa, a freelance textile designer living and working in Scheveningen, the Netherlands. Most of my inspiration comes from being in nature and living by the sea makes me feel very fortunate. Besides creating prints I am happy when practicing yoga, planning my next travels, drink oatly cappuccino's and go for an all-night-dancing-spree with friends. I like to educate myself on living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and did I mention I am a crazy cat-lady? (I don't own any, in case you need a furry-friend-sitter...)
Ever since graduating as a textile designer from art school (KABK, 2007) I've been working in the creative field. I've worked for the fashion, home and sports industry and equally love making art for all of them! That's what makes my job so much fun, prints and patterns can elevate any kind of collection, whether it's clothing, activewear, bedding or even stationery. I usually start to draw and paint by hand before I put my artworks into digital repeats ready for production.
I love this process from start to finish and always strive for the best possible results that meet all quality standards.
I am available for commissions or collaborations, feel free to contact me - I'd love to grab a coffee with you.
